Dating back to 1847, Arnott’s Biscuits is a truly historical and iconic Australian brand. From its humble beginnings, Arnott’s today has multiple manufacturing sites around the country to satisfy Australia’s consumption of 537 million packets of Arnott’s biscuits each year.
Project Design Brief
As part of on-going maintenance and improvement works at Arnott’s Virginia factory, designers wanted to upgrade the floor and drainage to quickly remove the run-off from wash-down water. The drainage system also needed to withstand regular forklift traffic moving equipment around the production areas.

- The Class D (AS 3996) Ladder grates and the channels’ solid edge infill profile are durable for small forklift and trolley traffic
- The stainless steel channel has a 1:100 in-built fall enabling efficient drainage to outlets
- A stainless steel channel and grate system was selected to withstand hot wash-water from wash down
